Il Vino di Prestigio
Tenuta Polvaro
Tenuta Polvaro, a distinguished winery nestled in the Venetian countryside, is acclaimed for its production of premium wines and unwavering commitment to quality.
During my tenure at Tenuta Polvaro and in collaboration with the Candoni De Zan family, I had the privilege of contributing to the development of several in-house wine brands by providing graphic design services for their labels and promotional collateral.
A Professional Growth Experience
Working with Tenuta Polvaro and the Candoni De Zan family was my first professional experience as a graphic designer, and it had a significant impact on my career. Although my role wasn’t focused on designing wine labels, I primarily dealt with the advertising and communication aspects for multiple brands, as well as managing social media, both crucial for the visibility and marketing of their products.
I worked closely with professional photographers and videographers to create high-quality visual content that promoted the various wine lines. Observing the photo shoots allowed me to learn techniques for capturing the essence and beauty of wines, while working with videographers taught me the fundamentals of video production. These skills were essential for effectively managing Tenuta Polvaro’s social media, enabling me to create engaging and high-quality content.
A crucial aspect of my experience was collaborating with the Candoni brand’s communication, import, and export team based in America. This gave me the opportunity to work in an international context, improving my communication and organizational skills, and making me more confident in managing complex projects.
This experience laid the foundation for my professional approach to work, based on precision, creativity, and communication. I am grateful to Tenuta Polvaro for the opportunity and learning experience they provided, allowing me to grow and contribute to the success of their brand.
Many wines, many identities
Working with multiple brands under the Tenuta Polvaro umbrella presented a unique challenge: maintaining visual consistency and high standards of quality while developing distinct identities for each wine brand. Each label had to reflect the specific characteristics of the wine, the brand’s history and philosophy, while ensuring not only a strong visual impact on the shelves but also across various advertising and marketing materials.
Among the various brands for which I worked:
- Tenuta Polvaro
- CDZ Vini
- Carletto
- Ricco
- BelPosto
- Terracotta
- Beppe
- Candoni
The Creative Process
My approach began with a deep understanding of each brand. I conducted detailed research on the wines, their origin, the grape varieties used, and the stories Tenuta Polvaro wanted to tell. This allowed me to create designs that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also meaningful and capable of communicating the essence of each wine.
Promotional Materials
I created various promotional materials to support the sales and marketing of the wines. This included brochures, posters, and materials for tasting events. Each piece was designed to align with the brand’s aesthetic and attract consumers by providing detailed and visually appealing information.
Collaboration and Results
Working with the Tenuta Polvaro team was a collaborative and enriching experience. The promotional materials created for the various brands helped strengthen their market presence, drawing the attention of wine enthusiasts and critics alike.
Conclusion
My collaboration with Tenuta Polvaro, the Candoni De Zan family, and their internal wine brands was a testament to the power of design in creating emotional and visual connections between the product and the consumer. Each project represented an opportunity to express creativity and attention to detail, ensuring that each bottle told a unique story.
